International Inter-Domain SDX

Software-Defined-Networking (SDN) has quickly transformed the networking. Programmable networking using SDN leverages many advanced virtualization techniques, which enable the implementation of significantly higher levels of abstraction for network control and management functions at all layers and across all underlying technologies. These approaches are not only allow network designers to create a much wider range of services and capability than can be provided with traditional networks, but they are also provide for a) many more dynamic provisioning options, including in real time b) faster implementation of new and enhanced services c) techniques that enable applications, edge processes and even individuals to directly control core resources; d) substantially improved options for creating customizable networks e) much more granulated views of network traffic, f) significantly enhanced control over traffic flows and g) enhanced operational efficiency and effectiveness.
