Thomas Schmidt

Thomas teaches Computer Networks and distributed Systems in Hamburg and leads the Internet Technologies research group (s. http://www.haw-hamburg.de/inet) there. Prior to moving to Hamburg, he headed the computer centre of FHTW Berlin. He studied mathematics and physics at Freie Universität Berlin and University of Maryland, and since then continuously conducted national and international projects. Thomas serves as co-editor and technical expert in many occasions. His current interests lie in next generation Internet, mobility and security, where he is actively involved in the work of IETF and IRTF.
