Cezary Mazurek

Dr Cezary Mazurek is the Director of the Network Services Department at Poznan Supercomputing and Networking Center (PSNC) in Poland (www.man.poznan.pl). He received his PhD in Computer Science from Poznan University of Technology in 2004. His research expertise and experience include a wide variety of advanced network services including digital libraries, interactive television, videoconferencing, telemedicine, public security, data and information management and access to research infrastructures. His recent activities are closely related to Future Internet technologies and advanced experimental research infrastructures. He has been the manager of numerous projects in those fields coordinated by PSNC, including the Wielkopolska Center for Telemedicine. He cooperates with several US research teams in the field of ICT supported biomedical research, multimedia platforms and digital libraries. He is also a cofounder of ICTBioMed – International Consortium for Technology in Biomedicine consortium. For last 10 years he has participated in over 15 European projects focused on new tools development and deployment within the Polish National Research and Education Network (PIONIER) as well as on interoperability. Currently he is a Software Coordinator and project management team member in FP7 Geant3Plus project. He is the author or co-author of over 100 papers in professional journals and conference proceedings.
